| Description: | Provide engineering services in the Biloxi, MS office. Responsibilites shall include but not be limited to: preparing engineering designs and specifications using good engineering practices with limited supervision; representing Thompson Engineering as an engineering advisor/consultant; researching/designing to achieve practical solutions to particular problems; performing field data collection using various methods, devices, and measurements; working with engineers/contractors/subcontractors as requested by the project managers, engineers, etc.; and drafting /writing reports/documents for internal/external clients. |
| Qualifications: | Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution. EIT certification required. PE license in MS (or ability to acquire within 6months) is highly desirable. Skills/experience with design of water/wastewater pumping and transportation systems required. Experience with water/wastewater treatment systems, roadways and/or civil site design are highly desirable. Also highly desired: knowledge of and ability to use engineering design software for planning and design(HEC/RAZ models, AutoCad R14, Land Development Desktop or Civil 3D, etc.); ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, vendors, etc.; experience with civil engineering/design/construction and field activities, including data gathering, field investigations, preparation of plans, specifications, and technical documents, and experience in construction oversight/inspection. |
